The company originated from AI research at UC Berkeley and integrates AI technology, specialized hardware, and remote clinical expertise to improve resident outcomes and reduce costs for care providers.About the Opportunity:The Field Operations Engineer role is essential for ensuring the effective deployment and ongoing support of on-premises hardware solutions designed to enhance care for individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia. This position is responsible for remote installations, troubleshooting, and maintaining system performance to support service availability and customer satisfaction. The role contributes directly to improving the quality and reliability of technology used in senior living communities, impacting both residents and care providers.Responsibilities:• Oversee installation, configuration, and activation of on-premises equipment at customer sites• Manage "out of band" access configuration and troubleshooting• Test installations end-to-end to ensure readiness for production• Support Tier 1 offshore support team with issue resolution• Participate in on-call rotation for critical service issues• Respond to and resolve customer cases related to on-premises equipment remotely• Use service level agreements to guide support process improvements• Assist in developing SOPs, knowledge base content, and cross-training team members• Maintain professional communication with customers throughout support processesRequirements:• Minimum 4 years of experience deploying hardware within customer networks and remote management• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience• Expertise in Linux system management, including NVIDIA GPU and network interface configuration• Proficiency with LAN/WLAN network architecture, DHCP, VLAN, static routing, and IP addressing• Experience troubleshooting WiFi performance and integrating network security technologies• Knowledge of SSM, Docker, Grafana, and command-line tools for system health assessment• Strong customer communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences• Commitment to service availability and quality with problem-solving mindsetPay Range and Compensation Package:• Salary range: $60,000 to $100,000 base, commensurate with experienceEqual Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
