These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage financial budgets and forecasts, specifically for production volumes, material costs, and manufacturing overhead.Conduct detailed variance analysis of actual manufacturing costs against standard costs, budgets, and forecasts, identifying key drivers.Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overhead, to determine product profitability and identify cost reduction opportunities.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including COGS analysis, inventory reports, and production cost summaries for management.Evaluate capital expenditure requests for manufacturing equipment and projects, performing ROI and payback period analyses.Provide financial insights and analytical support to production, supply chain, and operations teams for decision-making.Support the accurate valuation and analysis of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in cost accounting principles and manufacturing variance analysis.Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial and operational data.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights related to production efficiency and profitability.Bonus QualificationsExperience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP PP/CO, Oracle Manufacturing)Strong understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for operational insightsFamiliarity with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologiesJob Titles That Should ApplyFinancial Analyst, Finance Analyst, FP&A Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, Investment Analyst, Corporate Financial Analyst, Business Financial Analyst, Financial Modeler, Budget Analyst, Treasury Analyst, Senior Financial Analyst, Junior Financial AnalystWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
