Physical Therapist

This full-time, direct hire position provides a unique opportunity in both home care and inpatient settings, with a day shift schedule.Main Responsibilities:Design and implement individualized treatment plans according to physical therapy principles.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.Conduct patient assessments to determine physical conditions and therapeutic needs.Develop and adjust corrective exercise programs using appropriate equipment and techniques.Instruct patients on the use of mobility aids and recommend program modifications based on progress.Prepare required documentation such as evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.Communicate effectively with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.Provide guidance to support staff assisting in patient care.Maintain adherence to departmental policies and safety protocols.Participate in the maintenance of equipment and supplies.Qualifications:Must be licensed, or eligible to obtain a license, to practice physical therapy in New York State.Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.Physical Demands: This role requires appreciable physical effort, including lifting at least 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance.Exposure Category: Category II, with potential for unplanned Category I tasks.Why This Role is a Great Opportunity:Located in the picturesque Finger Lakes region, Corning, NY offers a small-town atmosphere with city amenities.
