Budget Analyst III

MDW Associates is seeking a Budget Analyst III to provide sound financial stewardship, expert analysis, and innovative approaches to our National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) client at Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas. This position is onsite, so candidates must be able/willing to commute to NASA's Johnson Space Center.The Budget Analyst III serves as an analyst which systematically integrates business, cost estimating and financial management processes aiding to ensure the efficient stewardship of public funds. They support the formulation of strategic financial plans, prepare cost estimates, and correlate financing requirements into executable budgets.The Budget Analyst may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:Systematically integrate business and financial management processes to ensure the efficient stewardship of public fundsAssess products and procedures for compliance with Government standards, sound accounting principles and multi-tiered system application standards Be cognizant of interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems concurrently or laterServe as a budget analyst supporting HHPD Integration tasks and MCO Program, specifically dedicated to one MCO Portfolio with Center and Agency clients and functions.Provide strategic budget analysis investigating financial data to provide decision makers at the Directorate level with crucial information, ideas, solutions and options for the effective planning and execution of the budgetMulti-task and prioritizing work from multiple customers, meeting or exceeding deadlinesRequired Experience/SkillsNASA experience requiredAbility to quickly learn the MCO SMART budget planning toolExcellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to communicate effectively person-to-person and in meetingsExcellent interpersonal and analytical skills, ability to work independently, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of dataEducation Requirement(s)A high school diploma and 6+ years of specialized experience in a field or related area OR a BA/BS degree and 4+ years of experience in the field or related areaSecurity Requirement(s)Public Trust - Candidates for this position must be submitted for a background investigation in order to satisfy government requirements (requires US Citizenship).Company DescriptionIncorporated in 2012, MDW is a small business headquartered in McClean, VA with employees in various locations in the United States.
