Apply now.Your Role as the Nursing AssistantSkilled Nursing | Non-Certified – Training ProvidedAmericare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Nursing Assistant to join our skilled nursing team. This non-certified caregiver role is ideal for individuals who are interested in starting a career in healthcare — no prior certification required. We provide training to help you succeed.In this role, you’ll care for the physical and emotional needs of residents, helping ensure quality of life in a safe, home-like environment while offering support to families and visitors. You’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team and maintain professionalism while meeting state and federal guidelines.SummaryThe Nursing Assistant provides direct personal care and support to residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff. This role focuses on assisting with activities of daily living, promoting resident comfort and dignity, and supporting a positive care environment.Training is provided for candidates who demonstrate compassion, reliability, and a desire to grow in senior care.This Role May Also Be Known AsNursing Assistant, Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Patient Care Assistant.What You’ll DoProvide direct physical and emotional care to residentsAssist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, toileting, meals, and mobilitySupport resident comfort, dignity, and quality of lifeObserve and report changes in resident condition to nursing staffAccurately document care provided as trainedAssist with maintaining a clean, safe, and home-like environmentOffer courteous support to residents, families, and visitorsWork collaboratively with nursing and care team membersFollow all safety procedures, care plans, and facility policiesWhat You BringQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCompassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approachAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamWillingness to complete required training and learn new skillsExperienceNo certification or prior healthcare experience requiredOn-the-job training providedInterest in pursuing CNA certification is a plusPhysical DemandsLift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as neededPush, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistanceManeuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.Safety RequirementsFollow proper resident care procedures, including two-person lifts when requiredUtilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogensReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork EnvironmentThis role is performed in an indoor skilled nursing environment with regular interaction with residents, families, and staff.
