We are currently hiring an Inventory Control Specialist who aligns with these values and takes ownership of inventory accuracy, material flow, and process consistency.
Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are properly stored, tracked, and available to support production across all shop locations. This role focuses on inventory processes rather than people management and plays a key part in cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, material movement, and coordination with production, shipping and receiving, and logistics teams. Attention to detail, organization, and accountability are critical to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy and Counts
Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories
Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve root causes
Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in inventory systems
Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, overages, or recurring issues
Material Flow and Control
Verify materials are issued correctly to the proper building or job
Ensure materials are properly labeled, staged, and stored in designated locations
Support production by ensuring materials are available when needed
Assist with tracking and documenting inter-shop material transfers
Logistics and Transfers
Confirm materials in transit are properly assigned to transfers
Verify pallets and crates are labeled with correct destination, transfer numbers, and heat or lot numbers when applicable
Ensure material is staged and ready prior to driver arrival
Assist with receiving and verifying incoming materials as needed
Process Support
Follow and reinforce established inventory procedures
Assist with training production teams on proper inventory processes such as part requests and item issuance
Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, organization, and material flow
Maintain clean, organized inventory areas in support of safe and efficient operations
Qualifications
Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or materials management
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
Ability to communicate clearly with production, logistics, and management teams
Familiarity with inventory systems, cycle counting, and material flow preferred
Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to accuracy and accountability
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: $18–$20 per hour, based on experience
