We are seeking a passionate, kind, and empathetic Registered Dietitian to join our private practice. As a part of our team, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling services to our patients in order to ensure optimal health and nutrition.
What we are looking for:
An RD who is seeking a full-time position in general focus private practice who sees patients for both preventative and medical nutrition counseling. Candidate must be able to work evenings and weekends. Must be desiring to learn and grow. Interest in psychology and human behavior is a bonus, not a requirement.

Location:
This is an in-person (in-offie) position in the state of Oregon. We are looking for a dietitian in Portland and Grant’s Pass/ Medford, however, we are open to other Oregon cities.

Responsibilities:
-Performing nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation for patients
-Learn to develop individualized nutrition care plans based on a comprehensive assessment of patient needs
-Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutritional counseling services to meet patient goals
-Educate patients on proper nutrition, including menu planning and healthy eating habits
-Evaluate client’s progress, revising their plan and goals as indicated per individual needs
-Solutioning with the patient to navigate their challenges and obstacles
-Offer additional solutions to patient problems and obstacles as needed
-Manage full patient/client caseload including schedule client follow-ups sessions
-Create and maintain notes to standard requirements for audits and compliance
-Maintain and model professional boundaries

-Maintaining credentials and continuing education through Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
-Four Social media pieces of content per month
-Four MNT/ functional nutrition protocols per year (one per quarter), with presentation to RDs
License/Certification:
Registered Dietitian with a bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in dietetics. Successful completion of a dietetic internship approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Must have passed the registration examination for dietitians. Must be able to present proof of current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) card. Must purchase liability insurance through the Academy prior to seeing the first patient.
How We Operate and Pay You
Months 0, up to month 6 are contactor status. During this time, you work as a contractor for the Southwest Dietitian Group while we work to get you contracted and credentialed with insurance companies. You will have the opportunity for onboarding, training, and seeing cash-pay patients. During this temporary time, you will paid a flat fee of 2K per month for additional services rendered including but not limited to content development and delivery. Months 6 and beyond, if we both believe this is a good fit, you will be offered a full-time position.
We are currently seeking a Level one, two, or three dietitian. At Southwest Dietitian Group, dietitians are either Level 1, 2, or 3 which includes the following status and pay:
Level One: Typically, a brand-new dietitian who has passed their RD exam, little to no experience, starting salary is 77K. While this position does not require experience, it does require a personal story of health, a growth mindset, an open mind and heart, kindness and empathy, and a drive and desire to change lives. Pay increases yearly based on performance measures. Important note: At hire, due to the amount of work that goes into insurance contracting, you will be required to stay with us for a minimum of two years.
Level Two: At Southwest Dietitian Group, we invest in our dietitians by putting them through functional nutrition training. At Level 2, you have both trainings. Pay starts at 91K. Pay increased based on performance measures. Important note: At hire, due to the money we invest in your functional nutrition and habit change training, you are required to sign a contract to stay on with us for three years after training completion.
Level Three: is a dietitian who, in addition to their patient load, takes on business responsibilities including training level one dietitians, chart note reviews, and other managerial responsibilities. Pay t.b.d. based on experience.
