At Verdantas, your career goes beyond the expected, and your work helps build a better world.Ready to shape the future of resilient communities?What You'll Do:Develop project plans, including project scope of work for complex multi-discipline-based substation Engineering projects and EPC projectsManage substation project execution, including project scope, schedule, budget, and project resources, including external vendors, consultants, and contractorsResponsible for the direct management and supervision of assigned direct reportsResponsible for building, scaling and leading a high-performing team of engineersEffectively track and stabilize projects, implement solutions to obstacles, and ensure client goals are achievedAttend client meetings and communicate concerns and changes with the client to ensure a positive relationship and growth opportunitiesPrepare and review preliminary designsPrepare proposals, including budgetary estimatesLead the development of plans, specifications, studies, estimates, material lists, and other deliverablesEnsure team adherence to QA/QC programControl building layout/plan and section/elevation drawingsLead, mentor, and help grow a team of engineers and designers:Manage day-to-day activities for your teamSet goals and expectations for each team memberAssist in annual performance reviewsDevelop new, or modify existing:Electrical layout/plan of substation equipment and structuresSubstation foundation layout/plan drawingsSection/elevation views from layout/plan drawingsConduit layout/plan drawingsSubstation grounding layout/plan drawingsWhat You'll Bring:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering10+ years of direct substation physical and electrical engineering experience.Professional Engineering license in any state and the ability to acquire further licensure in other states.A combination of education and a demonstrated related experience may be considered in lieu of education and experience requirements.Solid comprehension and application of design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.Proficient with Windows-based software such as Word and Excel, which are frequently used to develop project deliverables.Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.Ability to work in a team environment with others including, but not limited to, Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and drafters in multi-discipline groups.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and work product quality.Salary Range:$151,900-195,300Benefits:Flexible Work EnvironmentPaid Parental LeaveMedicalDentalVisionLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
