Speech and Language Pathologist in Middletown, DE

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) professional is needed to support a special education setting focused on Autism and mid to low functioning students. This full-time, onsite role is located in Middletown, Delaware, with a concurrent position available in Dover, Delaware. The opportunity spans from immediate start dates with an extended summer program through the 2026-2027 school year.Key Responsibilities:Provide speech-language services primarily to students in Pre-K and elementary grades, with caseloads including individuals up to 22 years old.Deliver individualized therapy plans tailored to meet the unique needs of students with Autism and varying communication challenges.Collaborate closely with special education staff and families to support each student's development.Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with education regulations and guidelines.Participate actively in team meetings and advocate for students' speech and language goals throughout the academic year and extended school year.Qualifications and Experience:Valid state licensure or eligibility for Speech-Language Pathologist or current CFY status.Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in special education environments.Familiarity with Autism spectrum disorders and strategies to support mid to low functioning students.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Location: Middletown, DE (with opportunities also in Dover, DE)This role offers a dedicated schedule of 37.5 hours weekly during the school year and approximately 30 hours weekly for the extended school year program.
