Our process integrates 3D visualization, real-world site data, and construction-ready thinking to create clarity for clients and contractors.We are seeking a Lead Designer to elevate our design quality and client experience, working directly with high-net-worth clients on complex outdoor environments.Role Overview The Lead Designer will be responsible for creating high-end, design-driven outdoor environments for luxury residential projects. This role leads the creative direction of projects, working directly with clients to develop visionary concepts that are both aspirational and grounded in real-world constraints.This is a client-facing role that requires strong design thinking, communication skills, and the ability to guide projects from concept through final design approval.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Direction and Concept DevelopmentLead design of complex outdoor environments, including pools, hardscapes, structures, and multi-level site planningDevelop multiple layout options and guide clients through design decisionsElevate overall design quality across all projectsClient-Facing LeadershipLead client meetings and presentationsGuide high-net-worth clients through spatial planning, design options, and material selectionsBuild trust and confidence through expertise and clear communicationDesign Ownership (Concept to Approval)Take projects from initial concept through design iterations to final approved layoutsCollaborate with production team to translate concepts into drawings and visualizationsHigh-Level Planning and Problem SolvingDesign with awareness of grading, site constraints, and construction feasibilityCoordinate with engineers and contractors as needed to ensure viable solutionsMaterial and Experience CurationLead material selection strategy across projectsEnsure cohesion across finishes, textures, and overall spatial experienceCreate a premium, curated design outcomeDesign Standards and Brand ElevationDefine and maintain Vizyon’s design standardsImprove layout quality, presentation clarity, and overall client experienceQualifications7–15+ years of experience in landscape architecture or high-end residential designProven experience designing complex backyard environments and outdoor living spacesExperience working directly with high-net-worth clientsStrong portfolio showcasing built projects (not just renderings)Excellent spatial planning and layout skillsAbility to present, communicate, and defend design decisions clearlyUnderstanding of grading, site planning, and real-world constraintsPreferred SkillsExperience with Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar design platformsFamiliarity with 3D visualization tools (Twinmotion, Unreal Engine, or similar)Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, and permitting processesWhat We’re Looking ForA strong design voice with a high level of taste and attention to detailConfidence in leading client relationships and design conversationsAbility to balance creativity with practicalitySomeone who can elevate both the design product and the overall client experience
