Industry: Pharmaceutical / Industrial Equipment Travel: ~50% regional | ~25% national (US & Canada)About the RoleKORSCH America is expanding its Field Service organization and is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support customers across the Northeast.This is a remote, field-based position with a strong regional focus. The Field Service Engineer works independently at customer sites installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-precision pharmaceutical compression equipment, while representing KORSCH as a trusted technical partner.An engineering degree is not required. This role is ideal for an experienced field technician with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who enjoys autonomy and customer-facing work.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, calibrate, qualify, and maintain KORSCH compression equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues at customer sitesPerform equipment upgrades, refurbishments, and rebuildsSupport PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, WonderWare – troubleshooting/editing)Train customer operators and maintenance staff on-siteRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentationComplete service reports using online documentation toolsRequired QualificationsMust Have3–5 years of independent field service experienceStrong mechanical skills with electrical troubleshooting capabilityBackground in pharmaceutical, packaging, automation, chemical, or industrial equipmentAbility to work independently and travel regularlyClear and professional communication with customersPreferredPLC troubleshooting experienceTrade school, OEM training, or military technical backgroundExperience with compression or packaging equipmentTravel and Work EnvironmentApproximately 50% regional travel (primarily day trips)Approximately 25% national travel across the US and CanadaNew installations may require multi-day on-site workTravel is mostly planned with limited short-notice tripsRole requires a high level of autonomy with remote management supportCompensation and BenefitsBase salary range of $75,000–$100,000Overtime paidTravel time compensated at base rateMileage reimbursement (no company car)Tools, calibration kits, laptop, and phone reimbursement provided401(k) matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceWhy Join KORSCHGlobal leader in pharmaceutical compression technologyComprehensive onboarding and up to six months of trainingHigh-trust, high-autonomy field roleStable territory with limited cross-country travelCompetitive compensation and benefits
