We uplift and revitalize communities through the development of educational and other supportive partnerships.The Team Member we are searching forThe ideal Teacher believes in, and is passionate about the mission and commitments of PUC Schools and exhibits this through their leadership, reflection, execution of school culture, and collaboration to ensure student success.What you'll need to accomplish:Fosters a safe and nurturing learning environmentContinuously builds professional knowledgeCollaborates and coordinates directly with both Inclusion Specialists and PE teachers regularly at PUC School sitesOrganizes support provision systems/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged in learning during services or in class when providing push inProvides APE services to each student as prescribed in the IEPDevelops and maintains APE PLPs and goals for IEPsProvides continual assessment of student progress, maintain student records and portfolios, and complete assigned paperwork in provided time frames , including progress monitoring inputs 4x/yearTracks provision of APE services according to guidance weekly, by end of day Friday each weekConducts required evaluations for Initial and Triennial IEPs relating to motor abilities and APE needsParticipates in all IEP Team meetings for students requiring or transitioning out of APE servicesBuilds strong relationships with students and parentsCommunicates with parents/guardians as neededIdentifies student's areas for improvement and is able to work with the student and family and internal resources to suggest options for improvementParticipates in monthly meetings/development with PUC Department of Special Education ("PUC Special Education Support Team")Works with Director of Inclusion and Special Education to develop and grow the APE offerings and programs across PUC SchoolsPerforms disseminated leadership dutiesAttends and implements professional development training throughout and beyond the school yearDemonstrates support and knowledge of schools' goals and missionDetail oriented when tracking students' attendance, progress, etc.Works with the Director of Inclusion & Special Education to ensure methods are directed towards meeting and surpassing the standardsAttends and participates in org-based meetings and activitiesRegular attendance, dependability and, punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this positionPerform other duties as assigned
