Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Mid-Level Associate Attorney Direct Counsel is seeking a Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm. Location: New York, NY or Short Hills, NJ Position Type: Associate (Lateral) Experience Level: 3–6 years Direct Counsel is partnering with a global law firm to identify a mid-level associate for its Corporate Practice, focusing on mergers & acquisitions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value transactions within a collaborative and internationally recognized platform. Key Responsibilities Represent buyers and sellers in strategic corporate transactions across a variety of industries Support the execution of M&A, private equity, fund formation, and securities matters Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and ancillary agreements Conduct and manage due diligence and coordinate deal closings Supervise and mentor junior associates and manage transactional specialists Assist in maintaining and developing client relationships Qualifications 3–6 years of law firm experience, with a strong focus on M&A Experience in private equity fund formation and management is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage deal workflow and supervise junior team members Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills Strong business judgment and client-service mindset JD from an accredited law school Admission to the New York or New Jersey Bar Compensation Salary range: $260,000 – $390,000 (based on experience) Bonus eligible with a comprehensive benefits package This is a strong opportunity for a mid-level corporate associate looking to take on more responsibility and gain exposure to a wide range of sophisticated transactions within a global platform.
