You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.How You Will Make an ImpactManage multiple fund relationships, including scheduling and meeting all client deliverablesMaintain/manage client expectations and coordinate deliverables timelines with staffDemonstrate strong knowledge of accountingParticipate in new business discussions with prospects and existing clientsPrepare and maintain goals and career development plans for all direct reportsPrepare semiannual performance appraisals and discussions for all direct reportsProvide guidance and direction to staff on all technical and client-service-related topicsReview fund governing documents, offering documents, subscription documents, side letters, and investment management agreements, in order to ensure proper application of fund termsReview all transaction documentation and supporting files, and understand the features of the investment transactions, accruals, etc.Review work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, etc.Review management fee calculationsReview investor allocations and capital account statementsReview capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor noticesCreate, maintain, and/or review distribution waterfall (carried interest) models, in keeping with the applicable fund termsPrepare and/or review financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedulesDevelop/maintain robust review procedures around deliverablesManage the year-end audit process, in collaboration with the client and auditorsWhere applicable, support the tax team with information to prepare tax compliance/reportsHelp develop and support targeted, continuing education for all direct reportsSupport corporate goals and business/departmental initiativesRequired ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field12+ years' experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investment funds3+ years' experience supervising, training, delegating and managing large teamsHands-on management style with strong leadership skills and ability to develop staffExcellent client relationship and project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills requiredWhat Sets You ApartCPA / Master's degree are plusesSS&C Technologies offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and future.
