Position Overview
A growing engineering and construction services organization is seeking an Engineer-in- Training to support field-based engineering evaluations and project execution. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world engineering applications while working directly with senior engineering leadership.
This is a long-term development opportunity with a defined path toward professional licensure, leadership responsibility, and increased technical ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with engineering evaluations for residential and commercial structures
Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations
Support preparation of engineering documentation and technical recommendations
Learn applied engineering design methods under licensed engineers
Coordinate with field personnel to ensure plans are executed properly
Assist with oversight of project execution and field staff during evaluations
Gain exposure to scheduling, materials coordination, and operational workflows
Perform physical tasks associated with site inspections and active job sites
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
Engineer-in-Training certification or actively pursuing certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in practical, field-driven engineering applications
Valid driver’s license
Comfortable working on active job sites and in physically demanding environments
