180 days/year, 7.5 hours/day, M-FBase + Enrichment: $68,261-$129,680MTSS / LAP / Title Intervention TeacherPosition PurposeThe MTSS/LAP/Title Intervention Teacher serves as the building-level coordinator and system leader for the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This position ensures all students receive appropriate academic and behavioral interventions through a coordinated, data-driven system aligned with state and federal requirements, including LAP, Title I, and Special Education (SLD) guidance.This role works in close collaboration with stipended CARE Team Leads, who facilitate MTSS meetings, to ensure consistency, fidelity, and effective implementation of intervention systems.Primary ResponsibilitiesMTSS System Leadership & CoordinationServe as the building MTSS system lead, ensuring consistent implementation across all tiersDevelop and maintain:Intervention systemsWIN (What I Need) scheduling structuresTiered support processesEnsure alignment of MTSS practices with:OSPI SLD guidanceDistrict MTSS framework* Monitor overall system effectiveness (e.g., Tier 1 ≥ 80% benchmark)Collaboration with CARE Team LeadsPartner with CARE Team Leads to ensure effective MTSS team functioningProvide training, coaching, and support to CARE Team Leads on:MTSS problem-solving protocolsData analysis and interpretationIntervention planning aligned to district expectationsMeet regularly (e.g., weekly or biweekly) with CARE Team Leads to:Review student data and intervention groupingsEnsure consistency in decision-making across teamsAlign intervention plans with district-approved practicesEnsure CARE team meetings:Follow established MTSS problem-solving protocolsInclude appropriate data and documentationResult in clear, actionable intervention plansCARE Team Leads facilitate meetings;MTSS Teacher ensures system alignment, consistency, and follow-throughIntervention Oversight & InstructionDesign and oversee Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention systemsProvide direct instruction for students receiving Tier 3 interventionsEnsure interventions are:Evidence-basedMatched to student needImplemented with fidelity* Coordinate intervention groupings during WIN time in collaboration with grade-level teamsData Systems & Progress MonitoringOversee universal screening processesEnsure consistent progress monitoring:Tier 2: bi-weeklyTier 3: weeklyMaintain and monitor:Intervention logsProgress monitoring dataTier movement decisions* Support staff in analyzing and using data to inform instruction and interventionSLD Alignment & ComplianceEnsure MTSS systems meet requirements for SLD eligibility determinationMaintain documentation demonstrating:Evidence-based interventionsIntervention fidelityStudent response to intervention over time* Collaborate with school psychologists and special education staff to support referral processesProgram Coordination (LAP / Title)Coordinate LAP and Title services within the MTSS frameworkEnsure compliance with program requirements and allowable use of fundsSupport identification and monitoring of students served through LAP and TitleAssist with program evaluation and reportingCollaboration & Staff SupportCollaborate with:Classroom teachersCARE Team LeadsCounselorsAdministratorsSchool psychologistsPara Educators working in the LAP/Title programDistrict office staff to ensure compliance and program fidelitySupport teachers in:Differentiation strategiesIntervention implementationClassroom supports aligned to MTSSProfessional DevelopmentProvide ongoing training and support to staff on:MTSS systems and practicesIntervention strategiesData use and progress monitoring* Build staff capacity to implement effective Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 supportsRole ClarificationTo ensure a cohesive and effective MTSS system:* MTSS/LAP/Title Teacher*Leads the system, ensures consistency, and oversees interventions* CARE Team Leads (Stipended)*Facilitate meetings and guide team discussions using MTSS protocols* Final decisions regarding intervention design, grouping, and tier movement*Are coordinated and aligned through the MTSS/LAP/Title TeacherQualificationsValid Washington State Teaching CertificateExperience with MTSS, RTI, or intervention systems preferredKnowledge of:Evidence-based reading and math interventionsProgress monitoring tools and data systemsSLD eligibility requirements and MTSS alignmentPreferred ExperienceExperience with LAP and/or Title programsExperience facilitating or supporting collaborative teamsBackground in literacy and/or math interventionAcknowledgment:Eatonville School District #404 reserves the right to modify and interpret this job description.
