Power Engineer/ Electrical Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Power Engineer / Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in SCADA, ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System), and the Energy & Utility domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electric utility operations, power distribution systems, grid management, and real-time monitoring using SCADA/ADMS platforms. Required Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems. 5+ years of experience in the Energy & Utility industry. Strong experience with SCADA, ADMS, EMS, DMS, OMS, and DERMS. Good understanding of electrical power systems, transmission & distribution networks. Experience with utility applications such as Switching Order Management (SOM), Outage Management System (OMS), and Distribution Network Operations. Knowledge of IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, OPC, and other utility communication protocols. Experience with one or more ADMS platforms such as GE Grid Solutions, Schneider Electric ADMS, Siemens Spectrum Power, Hitachi Energy (ABB) Network Manager, AspenTech OSI Monarch, or Oracle Utilities. Experience in SCADA point configuration, alarm management, real-time data acquisition, and system monitoring. Familiarity with GIS integration (ESRI ArcGIS), network modeling, and electrical asset management. Knowledge of NERC, IEEE, and utility industry standards. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Roles & Responsibilities: Design, configure, implement, and support SCADA/ADMS applications for electric utility customers. Monitor and maintain real-time power system operations and distribution network performance. Configure SCADA points, telemetry, alarms, events, and communication interfaces. Support ADMS applications including FLISR, Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO), State Estimation, Fault Location, and Network Analysis. Develop and maintain electrical network models and ensure data accuracy. Perform system integration with GIS, OMS, EMS, and enterprise applications. Troubleshoot SCADA communication issues and resolve operational incidents. Participate in system upgrades, testing, commissioning, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Collaborate with utility operators, engineers, and cross-functional teams to improve grid reliability. Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and provide operational support. Preferred Skills: Experience with Python, SQL, PowerShell, or scripting for automation. Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or cloud-based utility platforms. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Utility project implementation or production support experience. SCADA/ADMS certification is an added advantage. Pay: $103,264.78 - $124,361.89 per year Work Location: Remote
