Job Title: Onsite Technical Lead – Vertica to SingleStore MigrationLocation: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)Role Summary:We are seeking an experienced Onsite Technical Lead to lead and execute a large-scale Vertica to SingleStore migration initiative. This role is responsible for end-to-end technical ownership including migration strategy, data modeling, performance optimization, and production stability, while acting as the primary onsite technical interface between business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise in SingleStore, MPP database design, SQL performance tuning, and data platform modernization, along with proven experience in leading complex enterprise data migrations.Required Skills & Experience:Core Technical Skills:Strong hands-on experience with SingleStoreData modeling (rowstore, columnstore, reference tables)Sharding and distribution strategiesSQL performance tuning and query optimizationExperience migrating from Vertica or other MPP/legacy data warehousesAdvanced SQL and database design for analytical workloadsExperience with Spark (Scala/Python) for large-scale data processingLeadership & Communication:Proven experience as a Technical Lead or SME in complex data platform initiativesStrong client-facing communication skills with ability to explain technical trade-offsExperience leading teams, handling escalations, and driving delivery under tight SLAs
