You will be building a caseload and this will take time. In addition to advertising and networking done by Serotiny Counseling, how quickly your caseload grows will depend on a number of factors including your comfort level, time of year, client interest in your specialties, overall client demand, and your established professional network. When full, you should anticipate between 15-30 client sessions with 1-3 client admin hours per week. Job SummaryA Mental Health Therapist conducts affirming intakes, provides mental health diagnoses as needed, and develops personalized therapy plans for their clients. They provide counseling to individuals, groups, and/or families. Their goal is to collaborate with clients to improve their well-being as a whole person, including addressing systemic and political issues that interfere with client's lives. Mental Health Therapists attend meetings with the team and their manager/supervisor. You must have access to technology with which to conduct sessions and meetings as well as a private space in which to perform sessions and meetings without interruption. You will be functioning independently for the majority of your work. You will be expected to conduct virtual sessions and attend meetings with your camera on, but will also have the ability to type. Although most of your work will be independent, you will also be part of a team of amazing professionals who you have the option to learn from and collaborate with. A benefit of your role will be to attend monthly supervision meetings with other therapists in the practice.
