Quality Engineer (Onsite – Central Minnesota)Looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to support a fast-paced, high-mix production environment. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to build, influence, and elevate quality processes across the shop floor.This is not a desk job. This role is embedded in operations, working directly with production teams to drive continuous improvement and measurable results.What You’ll Be DoingPartner closely with Quality leadership to support and elevate plant-wide quality initiativesDrive continuous improvement efforts (scrap reduction, returns, process optimization)Analyze inspection and production data to identify trends and implement corrective actionsLead root cause analysis (5 Whys, problem-solving tools) and implement sustainable solutionsConduct capability studies and support process validation effortsWork cross-functionally with Quality Techs, Plant Leadership, and shop floor teamsStay actively engaged on the production floor alongside welding, forming, and machining operationsWhat Makes This Role UniqueHigh-mix, low-volume environment, every day is differentFast-paced, “managed chaos” setting vs. highly structured OEM environmentsHigh autonomy. You’ll be expected to own your work and raise the bar without heavy oversightOpportunity to make a visible impact quickly in a growing organizationWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality roleStrong background in root cause analysis and continuous improvementHands-on experience with ERP systemsAdvanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reportingWorking knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools (Yellow or Green Belt preferred)Comfortable working directly on the shop floorSelf-starter mindset, able to operate independently with minimal directionNice to HaveGreen Belt certificationExperience in fabrication, metal, or job shop environmentsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fieldCompensation & ScheduleSalary: $75,000 – $95,000 baseQuarterly bonus tied to company performanceSchedule: 4/10 workweek schedule (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
