DevOps/Automation Engineer

Join our innovative team as a DevOps/Automation Engineer, where you'll lead strategic initiatives in cloud infrastructure and drive operational excellence. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with talented professionals to enhance system scalability and reliability.ResponsibilitiesGuide the team in setting strategic directions for infrastructure, security, and IT operations.Oversee daily operations of production and development infrastructure for a cloud-based commerce platform.Develop and implement innovative solutions to streamline processes and improve system reliability.Collaborate with Development and QA teams to enhance existing features and launch new services.Utilize Infrastructure as Code practices to automate and manage cloud resources efficiently.SkillsExpertise in multi-cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Go.Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while achieving results.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio and monitoring tools such as Prometheus.Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and GCP.Familiarity with database technologies, including PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka.Understanding of FinOps practices for effective cloud cost management.At Horizontal, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered.
