Senior Avionics Electrical Engineer

A DAY IN THE LIFEThe Senior Avionics Engineer Will Work With a Small Team Of Electrical Engineers On The Design, Development, Testing, And Evaluation Of Future Spacecraft, Small Satellites, Reentry Capsules, And Hypersonic Flight Systems, With Specific Emphasis On Printed Circuit Boards, Power Systems, And Instrumentation. The Position Will Span a Broad Range Of Product Life Cycle Stages From Concept Development To Flight Test Of Prototype Hardware. The Senior Avionics Engineer Tasks Will IncludeDeveloping printed circuit boards, wiring harnesses, power systems, and avionics assemblies, starting with conceptualization and requirements definition, and moving to design, prototyping, verification, and release to productionDesigning and analyzing analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for power, command and control, communication, and propulsion subsystemsIntegrating and validating custom and commercial off-the-shelf avionics for ground and flight-test applicationsSupporting development of avionics mission and safety requirements as well as improving avionics development processes Conceptual design of avionics subsystems for advanced concept spacecraft and aircraft, including power system sizing, component selection, and design trade studiesWhat We OfferAt SpaceWorks, we believe in cultivating a culture that offers the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
