You'll be responsible for the maintenance, inspection and repair of diesel-powered vehicles.OverviewA Diesel Engine Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems. This role ensures that vehicles and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in diesel engines.Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and tune-ups.Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and determine necessary repairs.Use diagnostic tools and computerized systems to troubleshoot engine performance.Test drive vehicles or operate equipment to confirm successful repairs.Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.Follow safety protocols and keep the work area clean and organized.Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisors, drivers, or clients.Skills & QualificationsTechnical training or certification in diesel mechanics (preferred).4+ years experience.Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Proficiency with diagnostic software and mechanical tools.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy components.Why Apply?Competitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for training and advancementSupportive and team-oriented work environmentApply Today!If you're ready to bring your mechanical skills to a team that values quality, safety and professionalism, we'd love to hear from you.
