Level I Technician
OverviewThe Level I Technician performs all aspects of MHE planned maintenance service on equipment. This position requires knowledge of mechanics hand tools and basic automotive experience. Must have computer experience, good communication skills and good customer service skills. This position will report to a lead technician or manager.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for forklift (LP and electrical) Preventative Maintenance servicesFluid change, engine oil, transmission fluid, differential gear lube and hydraulic fluid.Filter replacements, Air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and ATF filter.Perform Tune Up’s- adjust valves and replace spark plug and spark plug wires.Brake / riser adjustmentsInspect and repack wheel bearingsInspect and water forklift batteries on a defined scheduleBattery removal and installsEquipment paint touch ups as requiredAttachment pad rotationsPart replacements as necessary – can include horns, lights, tires, etc.Meet a minimum of 60 Completed PM Services per monthKeep a minimum of a 80 - 90% productivity levelQualificationsPost high school / technical school education not required, but desirableCustomer service skillsComputer applications using MS OfficeExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust be able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restrictionMust be able to work outside in inclement weather conditionsMust be able to work in environment with excessive noise and respiratory hazards without restrictionMust be able to stand or lie down for extended periods of time to repair equipmentMust be able to have flexible movement: to reach equipment and/or parts and maneuver equipmentMust have and keep a valid driver's license.
