Overview In this role you contribute to securing enterprise information systems and communications. You will establish security requirements, evaluate products, and guide IT security operations to meet regulatory and policy standards. You’ll work on secure systems engineering, patch management, incident response, and system integration to ensure high availability and resiliency. This position offers hands-on design and optimization work within a mission-aligned environment serving public and private sectors. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate security needs into concrete technical solutions. ResponsibilitiesEstablish system-wide information security requirements aligned with policy and regulatory standardsDevelop and implement test plans for network security equipmentPerform product evaluation to propose projects addressing emerging threatsAdvise IT Security Specialists on cybersecurity operationsEnsure security systems meet industry standards and SLAsMaintain high availability and continuity for enterprise servicesPerform and report on security assessmentsDocument network diagrams, configure firewalls, and monitor devicesPerform system integration, patch management, incident response and change managementDevelop and recommend technical solutions for moderately complex network and system security problemsDevelop security engineering project plans based on best practices and risk countermeasures Key requirementsDesign and development experience of secure enterprise communications systemsExperience in analysis, design, implementation and testing of secure enterprise information systemsNetwork engineering experience with Windows Services & AIX/UNIX, application and database servers, security appliances, and endpoint security products8+ years of related systems engineering experienceMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experienceWindows Services design, implementation and maintenanceAIX/UNIX systems knowledgeNetwork security appliancesEndpoint security productsPatch managementIncident response
