Staff Accountant

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Staff Accountant opportunity with a financial services company. The staff accountant is responsible for general ledger accountability as well as daily reviews of all specified bank statements. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the specific duties listed below. Your specific duties will include:Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate significant variances.Reconcile balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation.Prepare and post journal entries, including monthly accruals.Review daily bank activity and ensure transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.Assist with financial statement audits and provide required documentation.Maintain clear documentation to support management review and audit requirements.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support a productive team environment. Required qualifications for the position includeBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).Strong 10-key data entry skills. Pay Rate Range$60,000 - $63,000 for salaried positions Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
