Position SummaryMohawk Valley Garden (MVG) is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day execution, organization, and growth of marketing efforts across our portfolio of sports teams, restaurants, and live events.This role is a critical operator within the organization-responsible for turning ideas into action, aligning multiple departments, and ensuring all marketing initiatives are executed with clarity, consistency, and purpose.The Marketing Manager will oversee campaign planning, content scheduling, internal communication, and project management across MVG properties, while creating the structure that allows creative teams to perform at a high level.Core ResponsibilitiesMarketing Operations & Project ManagementOwn the day-to-day workflow of the marketing department across all MVG propertiesBuild and maintain a centralized marketing calendar (games, events, promotions, campaigns, restaurant initiatives)Coordinate and manage all inbound marketing requests from internal stakeholders (Comets, City FC, restaurants, events, partnerships)Organize photo/video shoots, campaign timelines, and deliverablesEnsure all marketing projects are completed on time and aligned with brand standardsWork with marketing and advertising partners across the regionCampaign Planning & ExecutionPlan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across:Utica Comets (AHL)Utica City FC (MASL)Tailor and the CookKookie's Q & CreameryBabe's at Harbor PointCollaborate with sales, partnerships, and operations teams to support ticket sales, events, and revenue initiativesAssist in developing promotional strategies for games, events, and restaurant activationsTrack campaign performance and adjust strategies based on resultsContent & Creative CoordinationWork closely with the creative team (design, video, social) to:Assign projectsManage timelinesEnsure consistency across all platformsHelp develop and maintain a content calendar across all brandsEnsure all outbound content aligns with MVG's voice, identity, and goalsServe as a quality control checkpoint for marketing materialsBrand & Communication AlignmentMaintain consistency across all MVG brands while respecting each property's unique identityHelp build and enforce brand standards, guidelines, and messagingImprove internal communication between departments to ensure alignment and efficiencyAct as a central point of contact for marketing-related communicationEvent & Game SupportSupport marketing execution for all home games, events, and major initiativesCoordinate promotional elements, in-game activations, and fan engagement strategiesAssist in planning and executing signature events and themed nightsEnsure marketing presence is consistent across all live experiencesQualificationsDegree in Marketing, Communications or related field1-2 years of experience in marketing, project management, or related field (sports, hospitality, or entertainment preferred)Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience working cross-functionally with creative, sales, and operations teamsUnderstanding of digital marketing, social media, and content strategyAbility to think both strategically and tacticallyStrong communication and leadership skillsPassion for sports, food, events, and community engagement
