Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Product Owner II with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. Pay: $56.00 - $66.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.Description:Top 3 skills: Prior PO/Agile experience, Salesforce experience & soft skills (must be able to interact with business and IT vendors/show experience they have managed that type of relationship before)Skill Assessments: First round via Teams; second round the team would like to bring top candidates onsite for a final assessmentsThe Salesforce Product Owner for the DSM Tracker (DSMT) is responsible for owning the product backlog and guiding the agile delivery of a Salesforce-based solution supporting Demand Side Management (DSM) program tracking. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the Salesforce delivery team, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered according to Agile best practices.The Product Owner drives product vision and day-to-day product decisions by managing and prioritizing the backlog, writing and refining user stories, and accepting completed work—keeping development focused on high value outcomes—so delivered functionality meets business objectives, agreed acceptance criteria, quality standards, and aligns with Salesforce best practices.ResponsibilitiesDefines and manages product roadmapBuild, groom and prioritize the product backlog, continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders - including the senior leadership teamManage the sprint planning process and participate in all relevant ceremonies (reviews of prior sprints, grooming, retrospectives, etc.)Develop a deep contextual understanding of our customer, worker and user needsGather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and by performing industry research to support future developmentWrite detailed functional specifications, user stories and product documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, designers and analysts to implement and deliver new products and featuresCollaborate with the organization on vision, strategy, decisioning, tactical execution, and measurement systemsCommunicate roadmap stages and timelines internally with key stakeholdersAdditional Preferred Qualifications:Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action.Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a new product development teamClear passion for topics of technology products and an ability to identify possibilities to innovateAbility to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities.Excellent communication skills including the ability to build relationshipsUnderstanding of the SDLC process and the ability to work in an agile environment with bi-weekly releasesExperience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you have the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals5 or more years working in utility industryExperience as a Product AnalystAgile Product Owner certification"Black Belt" Six Sigma certificationExperience with JiraExperience with SalesforceExperience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)Experience with relevant new product or technology development experience working in a fast-paced environmentExperience with teams developing and shipping softwarePrimary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
