Job Description Palmetto Electric Group is a fast-growing, family-owned electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, and light industrial clients throughout the Midlands of South Carolina.We specialize in:Service upgrades & panel replacementsGenerator installations (standby & portable systems)Troubleshooting & service workNew circuits, lighting installs, EV chargerscommercial buildoutsOur mission is simple: Excellence in every connection.We are looking for a dependable, skilled electrician who takes pride in clean, code-compliant work and strong customer communication.Position OverviewThe Electrician will perform residential and light commercial electrical installations, service work, troubleshooting, and generator installations in accordance with NEC and local code requirements.This position requires someone who can work independently, manage job tasks efficiently, and represent the company professionally in the field.ResponsibilitiesInstall and troubleshoot electrical systems (120/240V single-phase primarily)Perform service panel upgrades (100A–400A)Install generators, interlocks, and transfer switchesRun conduit (EMT, PVC, MC,)Diagnose electrical issues and provide repair solutionsInstall lighting, receptacles, breakers, subpanels, and EV chargersEnsure all work meets NEC and local AHJ requirementsMaintain a clean and organized job siteCommunicate clearly with homeowners and project managersComplete daily job documentationQualifications3+ years field experience preferredStrong understanding of NECExperience with panel swaps and service workAbility to read plans and wiring diagramsComfortable working in attics and crawlspacesValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to lift 50+ lbsProfessional appearance and communication skillsPreferred ExperienceGenerator installations (Generac, portable inlet/interlock systems)Service troubleshootingcommercial workLeading a helper/apprenticeCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience)Overtime opportunitiesPerformance-based bonusesCompany vehicle (for qualified candidates)Paid holidaysCareer growth opportunitiesWhat We're Looking ForSelf-motivatedReliable and punctualDetail-orientedTakes ownership of their workTeam playerGrowth mindsetWe're building something long-term.
