Prep Cook
Role Overview
The primary responsibility is to prep the food for the business. This includes washing, peeling, and slicing vegetables and other items prepared in the store..
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
Wash, peel, cut, slice, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare food items
Train new employees.
Maintain clean and organized work station and surrounding areas
Wash and sanitize work table and cutting block to ensure food is sanitized
Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform.
In addition, other duties maybe required as directed by your manager.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to handle knife
Able to work in a team environment
Follow sanitary guidelines
Organize
Work well under high pressure situation
Additional Requirements:
Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time in refrigerated work areas
Lifting loads of up to 25 lbs
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data as required.
