Senior Embedded Systems / Embedded Security EngineerLocation: RemoteJob OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Embedded Systems / Embedded Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and delivering embedded products into production.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in System-on-Chip (SoC), ARM-based platforms, firmware development, device drivers, hardware communication interfaces, OTA updates, and embedded security.Seniority will be evaluated primarily based on successful product delivery and technical ownership, rather than years of experience alone.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot embedded software and firmware for production products.Work extensively with System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms and ARM-based architectures.Develop, integrate, and debug firmware and low-level device drivers.Work with embedded communication interfaces and protocols, including:USB,I2C,SPI,UART,BluetoothOther wired and wireless communication technologiesDesign and support OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware/software update mechanisms.Apply security practices across firmware, device communication, software updates, and embedded system architecture.Debug complex hardware, firmware, driver, and system-integration issues.Collaborate with hardware, firmware, security, validation, and product engineering teams.Take technical ownership from design and development through integration, testing, and production deployment.Identify and resolve production-level embedded system challenges.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience in Embedded Systems development.Strong experience with SoC-based product development.Hands-on experience with ARM-based MCU/MPU platforms.Strong firmware development experience.Experience developing and debugging device drivers.Strong working knowledge of I2C, SPI, USB, UART, and similar interfaces.Experience with Bluetooth or other wireless communication technologies.Experience implementing or supporting OTA firmware/software updates.Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction and the complete embedded system stack.Strong embedded debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.Experience delivering production-quality embedded products.Embedded Security ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred:Secure boot and chain of trustFirmware security and hardeningSecure OTA updatesFirmware signing and verificationDevice authenticationSecure communicationCryptography in embedded systemsKey and credential managementHardware-backed securityInterface and communication securityEmbedded threat modeling and security practicesCandidates with exceptional embedded systems fundamentals and product delivery experience may be considered even if their direct security experience is limited.
