This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. You will be part of a supportive team, working in a fast-paced setting where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will be highly valued. ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize patient rooms, including bed making, linen replacement, and restocking supplies. Perform thorough cleaning duties such as disinfecting patient areas, washing windows, scrubbing floors, moving furniture, and changing mattresses as needed. Maintain cleanliness in common areas like waiting rooms, lobbies, and hallways. Care for hospital floors including carpets and entryways, operating and maintaining floor cleaning equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners. Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment. Replenish supplies in patient rooms and common areas as necessary. Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests from staff and patients. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel. Adhere strictly to infection control policies to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. Handle hazardous waste, including sharps and biohazardous materials, following proper procedures. Demonstrate awareness of infection, electrical, steam, chemical hazards, and environmental disinfectant solutions. Collect and dispose of soiled linens hygienically. EducationHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Experience and RequirementsPrevious housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads up to 25 pounds. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
