Whether you're preparing specialty beverages, managing retail transactions, or ensuring food safety standards, your contributions will be vital in delivering a memorable caf experience.DutiesPrepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flairHandle retail sales transactions efficiently using point of sale systemAssist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service to foster loyaltyMaintain cleanliness and organization of the caf area, including food preparation stations and dining spacesFollow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures during food preparation and servingManage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising qualityKnowledge and familiarity with scripture to provide a unique experience with every cup (we would like every drink to have a Bible verse on it)Support food industry standards by adhering to health regulations and maintaining a safe environment for staff and guestsWillingness to learn and educate families on the importance of well-rounded nutritional choicesExperiencePrevious barista experience or caf work is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with coffee preparation and serving techniques, but not requiredExperience with retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food service roles that require strong customer interaction skillsKnowledge of POS systemsStrong understanding of food safety practices, food handling, and basic math skills for retail math calculationsExcellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environmentBackground in the food industry or retail sales transactions helps ensure confidence in managing multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyCommitment to providing outstanding customer service with a positive attitude that energizes the teamJoin us in creating an inviting space where great coffee meets exceptional service!
