As we continue to grow, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team.Overall Responsibility:Execute the procurement and timely delivery of resources, equipment, supplies, products, components and raw and packaging materials needed to meet the objectives of the business at the best total cost and quality.Key Areas of Responsibility:Determine material requirements from customer sales forecast and orders, production schedules and bills of material.Obtain vendor quotes and negotiate for the best possible price.Procure materials at the highest quality, lowest possible cost, with consistent on-time delivery to meet schedules.Expedite orders and requests as needed and communicate the status to all relevant departments.Consistently update records related to items purchased, costs, delivery, quality, and inventory.Resolve non-conforming items with users and vendors to determine the root cause and take corrective action.Develop and implement material sourcing strategies.Build and maintain lasting relationships with suppliers creating mutually beneficial improvement goals for long-term growth.Develop technical expertise in commodities purchased and associated product lines.Prepare and process purchase orders for supplies, raw material, packaging and capital expenditures.Assist with the development of tools for product cost tracking and reporting.Stay abreast of market trends, changes in business practices in assigned markets, new materials entering the market, etc.May work with manufacturers or potential vendors to undertake the manufacturing of custom-designed items.Coordinate schedules for outsourced work with vendors and production control team.Assist with requests and needs for new required materials.Work closely with accounts payable to ensure that prices on invoices are accurate.Create, maintain, and analyze complex spreadsheets and reportsDevelop dashboards and automated reporting processesEnsure accuracy and integrity of data across multiple systemsCollaborate with team members to streamline workflows using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Interpret data trends and provide actionable insightsPerform other job-related duties as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business/purchasing field.Minimum 3 years of Food/Manufacturing procurement experienceProficiency in the full Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced Excel functions, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data visualization toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage datasets with a high level of accuracyExcellent attention to detail and time management skillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
