Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining, scaling, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and services. Your expertise will ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of our distributed systems and cloud-based applications. You will collaborate closely with development teams to implement automation, improve system resilience, and streamline deployment processes across multiple platforms. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, and Rackspace. Automate deployment processes utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and PowerShell scripts to enhance efficiency and consistency. Manage IT infrastructure across virtualized environments including VMware, Citrix, Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, and virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V. Develop and maintain monitoring solutions for distributed systems using RESTful APIs, web services, and cloud management tools to ensure system health and performance. Implement system hardening practices for Linux, Windows servers, and cloud environments to bolster security posture through identity and access management (IAM) solutions and network security measures such as VPNs. Collaborate with development teams on microservices architecture using JavaScript, Java, Python, Go, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and other programming languages to support SaaS applications and cloud services. Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and other DevOps automation tools to accelerate software delivery cycles. Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud architecture, distributed systems scalability, application deployment failures or network disruptions in public or private cloud environments. Experience Proven experience managing IT infrastructure within cloud computing environments such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure or OpenStack. Strong background in designing service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices frameworks, RESTful APIs & web services integration. Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere/ESXi or Citrix XenServer. Skilled in scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell or Python for automation tasks. Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker & Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications in cloud-native environments. Knowledge of databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or NoSQL solutions like Cassandra or DynamoDB. Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile methodologies & DevOps practices for continuous improvement of operations. Experience implementing security best practices including system hardening techniques for Linux/Windows servers and managing IAM solutions across multiple platforms.
