The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy commercial environments, performing high-level installation and repair of piping systems, machinery, and utilities.Duties and Responsibilities Installs, modifies and repairs high-pressure steam, water, gas, air, chemical, and sewage lines in industrial facilitiesReads, understands, and works from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan pipe layouts and installationsPerforms preventative maintenance on industrial plumbing components (valve, pumps, regulators) and diagnose complex system failuresCuts, threads, brazes, and solders, pipes (steel, copper, PVC) according to project specsEnsures all work meets OSHA regulations, local building codes, and company safety standardsSafety operates machinery such as pipe threaders, welders, grinders, and hydraulic toolsGuides and mentors apprentices, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols on job sitesMaintains accurate records of time, materials, and tasks performedTakes swift action to stop any imminent danger situations you may encounterPromptly reports all accidents and near misses, including minor first aid and property damages prior to end of shiftConducts daily workplace exams; identifies and promptly resolves potential hazards or immediately barricades area or equipment and contacts NAMS and/or the customer's safety team to resolvePerforms other duties as assigned.Requirements and Qualifications Active state-issued Journeyman Plumber License3 years of relevant experience as a journeyman in industrial or large commercial settingBackflow prevention certification a plusDeep understanding of industrial plumbing systems, including pressurized systems and chemical waste managementFamiliar with Victaulic and ProPress piping systemsValid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordPhysical Requirements: Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb stairs/ladders and use of handsProlonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipesMust have vision, hearing, and ability to talkAbility to work in confined spaces, work at heights, and lift up to 50 poundsExposure to noisy, hot, or cold temperaturesComfortable working in industrial environments, including food processing plants, manufacturing plants, production facilities and/or outdoor industrial sitesMay require overtime, weekends or emergency on-call shiftsNorth American Millwright Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer
