The role will enhance the strategy training resources and strategy for our internal teams and installation partners, which demands a strategic thinker with in-depth knowledge of roofing materials, systems, market trends, and customer preferences. Additionally, the role will collaborate with sales to provide training and resources required to further enhance our in-home sales process. Skills necessary would involve a combination of technical expertise, market analysis, project management and training. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally to ensure our roofing products align with company goals and customer needs.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProduct Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of roofing products, from introduction to retirement. Make data-driven decisions about product enhancements, modifications, and discontinuations. Sales Support: Provide sales teams with necessary product knowledge, training materials, and support to enhance their ability to effectively sell roofing products, positioning them as “experts” in the roofing installation process and Erie roofing system. Product Launch: Planning and executing the launch of new roofing products. This includes developing marketing strategies, sales training materials, and support plans to ensure a successful market entry.Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies. Utilize data to inform product decisions and market positioning.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, legal and customer support teams to align product strategies with business objectives. Foster effective communication and collaboration among teams.Quality Assurance and Compliance: Oversee product quality and compliance, ensuring roofing products meet industry standards and applicable building codes. Vendor and Supplier Management: Work with supply chain and operations leadership to manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets as needed, ensuring cost-effective strategies without compromising effectiveness. Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to identify areas for product improvement and innovation. Use customer insights to guide product enhancements.Required Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field. Proven experience in product management and training. Experience within the roofing industry is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of roofing materials, construction methods, and market trends.Exceptional project management and organizational skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in market analysis tools.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience in vendor and supplier management.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Travel RequirementsUp to 25% travelOvertime/Additional Hours RequirementsAdditional hours may be required (exempt positions).Physical RequirementsNormal office environment.Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.Sedentary work.
