Python Developer

Job Summary:We are seeking a back-end developer with heavy Python experience to join our engineering team and help us develop and maintain various software products.Responsibilities include writing and testing code, debugging programs, and integrating applications with third-party web services. To be successful in this role, you should have experience using server-side logic. You will work as an individual contributor collaborating with experts within your team and across the organization and our development partners.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties/Responsibilities:Design, develop, monitor, and maintain highly reliable and high performing back end servicesWrite effective, scalable codeCoordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutionsDevelop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performanceIntegrate user-facing elements into applicationsTest and debug programsImprove functionality of existing systemsAssess and prioritize feature requests, refine requirements into technical specifications and development plansImplement security and data protection solutions, work within established guidelines to ensure applications remain compliant with regulations and quality standardsPerforms other related duties. Required Skills/Abilities: Fluency in PythonExpertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)Familiarity with front-end technologies (like React)Experience using object relational mapping (ORM)Experience interfacing back-end services with client applications through RESTful APIs, including bi-directional data synchronizationExperience architecting, developing, deploying, and monitoring cloud native and applicationsExperience developing and working within a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processExperience with Git and working in a pull request model with code reviewsExperience with Cursor or Claude CodeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated initiative and analytical thinking style, able to comprehend complex problems and good problem solving skillsSelf-motivated, innovative, and proactive.
