Production Worker
Job DescriptionSummary: The Production Worker is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of used intermediate bulk containers, including receiving, disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling (rebottling) units. The goal of this position is to restore used IBC totes to a safe, clean, and functional condition - complying with all regulations, for reuse in industrial applications. This position involves physical labor, operating industrial equipment, hand tools, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.Essential FunctionsSafetyFollow all Plant Safety Rules and RegulationsUtilize proper PPE at all timesQualityResponsible to produce continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followedCompliance to ISO 9001Complete Manufacturing/Quality documentsCommunicate with internally concerning deviations or general requestAssist in 6s and lean manufacturing practicesEnvironmentalVerify compliance to local, state, and federal regulationsComplete reports as necessary internallyPrimary Production ResponsibilitiesIndependently operate machines, equipment, and produce production parts to required tolerancesRead and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products as neededInstallation of:PlugsCapsealsRingsOther parts or materials as specifiedUtilize various hand tools, including but not limited to air guns, plug wrenches, and capseal tools in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining appropriate speed with production flowDemonstrate acceptable level of capabilities in all areas of the Plant during General Labor RotationReport any conditions of concern regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to Production Manager, SHEQ, or Plant ManagerUtilize the company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.Follow direction and product required quantitiesOther DutiesMaintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe conditionAttend all required meetings and trainings Perform all other duties as required or requestedQualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAININGHigh School Diploma or GEDPrior experience in industrial manufacturingProblem-solving SkillsOffer highest level of innovation and problem-solving skills to influence overall efficiency, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc.Verbal Communication SkillsUse verbal skills to transfer information to operators, maintenance, and managementWritten Communication SkillsComplete reports such as production, quality, and inventory, legiblyMath SkillsAddition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratiosComputer SkillsInternal manufacturing systemsPHYSICAL DEMANDS(Typically required on a regular basis to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shiftAbility to stand, kneel/stoop, and walk for the duration of the shiftRequires good hand/eye/foot coordinationWhile performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud environments, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditionsVision: 20/20 corrected; and normal hearing rangeAble to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cold in the winter months and hot in the summer monthsPERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT(Typically required on a regular basis)Boots: steel or composite toedSafety GlassesGloves: latex, work gloves, etc.Hearing ProtectionSleeves: cut-resistantProperly fitted clothingHard Hat (in designated areas)About UsDo you want to work with people who are dedicated to innovation and making the world a better place?
