And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.We are looking for: A Quality Engineer at the Havre de Grace, MD site.We can count on you to:Quality improvement initiatives: active participant in defect reduction endeavors as they relate to Supplier/ In-House defect origination as well as attributed to Process Capability deficienciesTechnical engineering discipline in a high-volume engineered materials (adhesives) manufacturing facilitySupports the Maintenance , improvements and sustainability of our AS9100 Quality Management SystemMonitoring product performance via the current Operational metrics: initiate corrective action programs to address unfavorable trends Participant in our internal audit programPerform customer specification reviews: Collaboration with Technical Services Team and Account ManagementQuality liaison to Customer Support , Operations, Technical Services and Sales teamsSupports Supplier Quality Engineering Functions as liaison to our Suppliers on Material specifications and support : Periodic audits of Key SuppliersSupport to Calibration and Receiving Inspection processes and teamsActively support Safety improvement initiatives Competencies:Technical Problem Solving and Analysis, effective decision making capabilityAbility to work w/in a team environmentEffective Communicator and strong interpersonal skillsProject Management Mentoring/CoachingCustomer focusManaging multiple projects and prioritiesWorks well in a high degree of delegation environment You will bring: Bachelor’s level degree in an engineering field of discipline Minimum 5 years’ of relevant work experience in Manufacturing3-5 years’ experience with ISO 9001 and or AS9100 quality systems Project managementExperience using six-sigma tools, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and chemical and/or mechanical testing Preferred Qualifications: BS Chemical Engineering or ChemistrySix Sigma GreenbeltCertification from ASQExperience in aerospace chemicals, coatings, plastics, adhesives or composites industriesExperience working in a unionized environmentCollege level algebra and statisticsYou will get:The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $88,000.00 to $110,000.00. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
