Sherman Inspire Academy's groundbreaking design fosters rich learning experiences and meaningful collaborations with staff and peers to create a school full of wonder and joy.We are looking for student-centered Teachers to lead in the spirit of our mission to increase the capacity for learning by inspiring every student to belong, find joy, and be great. Our learning environment engages students in the construction of understanding through asking questions, exploring, researching, and reflecting. We focus on strong academics but also teach tolerance, value diversity, support justice, and strive daily to fulfill our mission.Essential Functions:Facilitate the guided-inquiry model of Sherman Inspire Academy.Encourage students to problem solve, take risks, and collaborate through student-led learning plans.Incorporate facilitator and student mobility and integration of technology into everyday learning, utilizing the modern learning environment which includes incorporating multiple internal and external learning spaces into daily instructional plans.Provide an environment conducive to student collaboration and independent learning.Utilize multiple instructional technologies to support blended learning.Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency and District policies.Attend and participate in ARD Committee meetings.Prepare lessons that reflect accommodation for individual student differences.RequirementsBachelor's Degree requiredValid Texas Teaching Certificate preferredAbility to instruct students and manage their behaviorStrong instructional technology skillsStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsMust have satisfactory outcome of the fingerprinting check before starting employment.
