Description
This position will require in-office presence. Hybrid work schedules may be possible based on specific job duties and consistent with ESD policy.

Basic Function
ESD administers new and existing programs for new businesses, small businesses, and minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs) and service-disabled veteran owned businesses (SDVOBs). The intern will assist in the procurement of goods and services, reporting MWBE/SDVOB participation, and auditing contractual payments and loan/grant-related disbursements.
Work Performed
Assist with research, analysis, and draft reports upon the request of the executive leadership team.
Synchronize and integrate payments in the ESD contract system to the ESD payment system in PeopleSoft.
Help to maintain project tracking database.
Learning Objectives/Skills to be developed: Communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, project management, professionalism, writing and research, and data entry.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education level required: Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree, all majors are welcome.
Knowledge Required: Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
