Manufacturing Technician (TEMP)
Job DescriptionSupport manufacturing objectives and goals through various manufacturing techniques used in the robot filter testing/shipping process. Responsibilities include performing daily operations, inspecting own work, following all safety and environmental guidelines and producing work that demonstrates and promotes company values. Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment that follows company policies, practices, and guidelines. Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms hands-on operation of optical dicing and filter robot testing processAll optical sizing and robot filter testing/shipping steps performed per procedure to a 0% reject standard.Quality of product and throughput rate meets or exceeds departmental goals.Products meet quality per internal and external customer specifications.Works with the team to meet delivery goalsImprove processes under the guidance of supervision.All steps are performed per policy and procedure Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentBasic reading and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) SkillsCapable of applying basic math to product activitiesAbility to understand and interpret product drawings (blueprints)Ability to meet tight time schedulesFamiliarity with precision optics manufacturing and metrologyWork in environment with open communicationPerform tasks independently with minimal guidance from supervisorAbility to follow work priorities and multi-task when neededGood interpersonal and communication skillsSet a high standard of ethics, professionalism, and competencyDemonstrates and promotes the Coherent Worldwide values: Customer First; Honesty and Integrity, Open Communications, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement and Learning; Manage by the "Facts"; A Safe, Clean and Orderly Workplace Working ConditionsIndoor, controlled environmentExtensive standing / walkingMultiple shifts / schedules Physical RequirementsAble to stand and or walk for long periods of time Safety RequirementsCompany policy is followed regarding all safety, environmental and ergonomic requirements.Responsible for maintaining quality work environment housekeeping standards.Takes responsive action to correct any health or safety hazard found in work area.Initiates corrective measures within 24 hours of hazard identification.All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
