Job Title: Senior Backend Engineers (2 Job openings)Location: New York, NY (Onsite Report to work)Industry: Senior Application Developer, Client & Innovation EngineeringType: Full Time or contractRete $55/Hr on C2CClient: VenusGeo / TURINGH1bs are also allowed to submit for contract role.Position OverviewWe are seeking a senior application developer with a passion for approaching problems differently.The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in back-end principles and technologies, with a track record of implementing solutions that drive efficiency and growth. Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a rapidly expanding AI Core Platform, as well as building applications on top.Develop APIs & Batch Processing with technologies such as Python, Flask, Fast API, MSSQL, Snowflake in an Azure infrastructure.Help design and drive the implementation of a scalable and robust core AI platform and models to enhance operational efficiency.Develop unit tests and test end to end using tools such as Postman.Given a design, decompose the design to deliverable stories.Participate in Scrum ceremonies: Story Elaboration, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives.Review Pull Requests and provide constructive feedback. Qualifications & Experience8+ years of experience in Software Engineering focused on backend development in an Agile SDLC environment.Familiarity with GenAI, NLP (Natural Language Processing)Solid hands-on experience in Python and CI / CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Docker, Jenkins).Understands cloud native development with the understanding of Microservices Architecture.Experience with Linux/Unix.Understands database concepts (DDL, DML, Indexing, Partitioning, etc.)Experience in deploying cloud native applications to a cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Experience with design patterns (MVC, Product & Consumer, Singleton, Factory, etc.)Understands application security concepts: Encryption, Decryption, SSL, JWT, Authentication, AuthorizationExperience in collaborating on small POCs (Proof of Concepts) with other engineers.Experience conducting performance tests and monitoring applications with tools such as DynatraceStrong ownership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Ability to actively coach less experienced team members and be an influencer in the team.Comfortable challenging peers and leaders to drive strategy forward.
