WHY DO WE NEED YOU?SummaryThe Maintenance Superintendent will facilitate maintenance activities with production and is accountable for managing the preventive scheduled maintenance. This position manages the unscheduled repair activities to ensure plant is continuously operating, prepares daily schedules for maintenance personnel assures work requests have proper approval and manages continuous improvement projects.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, and direct plant preventive maintenance functions.Participate in decisions pertaining to equipment requirements for line uptime.Supports capital cost, design, and installation plans for new equipment. Recommend equipment replacement to improve operations and reduce costs.Overall collaboration for the administration of all Capital Projects.Participation in Equipment Safety Inspections; MOC’s and New Equipment Checklists.Manage Maintenance Plant Safety initiatives (STOP, Near Miss Reporting, etc.)Manage all Maintenance operations.Manages toll gate and down-day performanceParticipation in the Corporate/Plant Energy Program.Responsible for Plant Asset Management.Manage storeroom, and oversee activities to ensure adequate requisitions of parts.Manage department continuous improvement initiatives.Responsible for managing the department’s budget.Responsible for ensuring the department is aware of key objectives for continuous improvement.Staff Champion for Reliability and supports Industrial Efficiency pillar.Facilitate activities and strategies related to change management to deliver necessary business results.Partner with leadership team members in executing initiatives and projects to achieve a strategic business plan and meet all objectives of the pillars.Actively participate in driving business results as a member of the site leadershipWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assignedIS THIS JOB FOR YOU?Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline preferred.Five (5) or more years of experience in the Maintenance field (manufacturing environment preferred)Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.a Little More About UsThrough the responsible development of innovative and sustainable building products, CertainTeed, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has helped shape the building products industry for more than 110 years.
