This role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans that enhance patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), improve functional mobility, and foster greater independence. A strong foundation in geriatric rehabilitation, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach are essential to promote optimal outcomes and quality of life for residents.Key Responsibilities:Clinical Support and Treatment ImplementationDeliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities aimed at improving independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.Monitor responses during treatment sessions and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the Occupational Therapist.Support the use of adaptive equipment and provide instruction to residents and caregivers to promote safe and effective use.Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment that fosters participation and comfort.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions to ensure coordinated care.Documentation and ComplianceAccurately document treatment sessions, patient progress, and observations in accordance with policies and state and federal regulations.Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, infection control protocols, and OSHA standards to ensure regulatory compliance and safety.Collaboration and Operational SupportMaintain open communication with the supervising Occupational Therapist andinterdisciplinary care team to support continuity of care.Assist in the upkeep and organization of therapy supplies and equipment to ensure readiness and efficiency in service delivery.EducationAssociate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programCurrent state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)Experience1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferredFamiliarity with PDPM and SNF documentation standards is a plusKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSolid understanding of occupational therapy principles and treatment techniquesAbility to implement therapy plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational TherapistStrong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and team membersDetail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skillsCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standardsProficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applicationsAbility to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care teamCompassionate, resident-centered approach to care deliveryMajestic Difference Benefits:Quarterly Pay IncreaseDaily PayCompany-Paid Life InsuranceTelehealth ServicesDouble Pay on HolidayCare Team Member Relief FundJoin the Majestic Care team where compassion meets excellence!#MCare
