Process Technician - 2nd Shift

Bison Innovative Products, a division of RPM International (NYSE:RPM), is looking for a dynamic, a Process Technician (2nd shift) to join our Team located in Denver, Colorado. Process Technicians are responsible for monitoring production activities in a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment. Duties include molding machine and auxiliary equipment set up and function. Daily duties extend to part quality assurance, cycle time monitoring, product inspection, assembly, and packaging. Technicians must possess the ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot injection molding processes. Consistent methodical and analytical approaches to problem solving are expected. Employees in this position must have the ability to adjust to change quickly and calmly, have a strong work ethic, and provide leadership to the team on their assigned shift. **This is an-onsite position** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Molding machine setup and processing. Process improvement and troubleshooting. Work with QA Inspectors to maintain part quality standards. Basic machine maintenance. Verbal and written communication with production staff, quality, warehouse, engineering, and management. Creation, documentation, and maintenance of injection molding processes. Mold teardown, assembly, cleaning, and maintenance. Setup, monitor, and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment to include sprue pickers, robots, thermolators, material loaders, conveyors, valve gates, and hot tip controllers. Assist production staff with part assembly and packaging as needed. SKILLS Excellent time management. Working knowledge of scientific molding principles. Effective communication skills. WILLS Makes attendance and punctuality a top priority. Attention to detail with the end user of the product in mind. Has a team player attitude. Shares ideas and asks questions. Self-starter. Willing to work overtime and weekends if needed periodically. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of three years of experience in plastic injection molding setup and processing. Basic computer skills, including programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook. Effectively use hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Read, write, and speak English. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to use those skills to calculate units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Some calculation of ratios and conversions may be required. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Ability to pass a plant specific forklift certification test. Supervisory Responsibilities Process Technicians will at times be relied upon to assist in assigning and delegating tasks and/or fill in a backup for shift leads. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push/pull 100 pounds. Able to navigate stairs and ladders. Standing for extended periods of time. Bending, twisting, crouching, and kneeling. Work Environment: Manufacturing environment where the employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and weather.
