Cloud System AdminWe are seeking a DevOps / SRE Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure with a strong emphasis on deployments, automation, and CI/CD. This role prioritizes enabling fast, reliable software delivery while maintaining high system availability and performance. You will work closely with development teams to streamline deployment pipelines, improve release velocity, and enforce infrastructure best practices.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and manage AWS-based Linux infrastructure for scalable application deploymentsOwn and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, repeatable, and fast deploymentsManage application releases, deployments, and rollback strategies across environmentsAutomate infrastructure provisioning and application delivery using Infrastructure as CodeCollaborate with development teams to improve build, test, and deployment workflowsTroubleshoot deployment failures, pipeline issues, and production incidentsImplement blue/green, canary, and rolling deployment strategiesMaintain system reliability, monitoring, and alerting for production servicesOptimize performance, scalability, and cost of cloud infrastructureEnforce security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelinesMaintain runbooks, deployment documentation, and operational proceduresParticipate in on-call rotation supporting production systemsRequired Skills5+ years of Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, Rocky/CentOS)3+ years of AWS experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EKS, ALB/NLB, CloudWatch)Strong experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)Hands-on experience with application deployments in cloud environmentsProficiency in Bash and Python for automationStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, CloudFormation acceptable)Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS)Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls)Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog)Experience implementing deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling updates)Strong troubleshooting skills across pipelines, infrastructure, and applicationsNice to HaveLimited exposure to Windows environmentsProfileStrong focus on automation, deployment efficiency, and developer enablementComfortable working in fast-paced environments with frequent releasesCollaborative mindset with strong communication across DevOps and engineering teamsOwnership-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellenceOther Details about the JobBenefits are offered such as medical/dental/vision insurance and vacation time. 401k will be obtained as a benefit after 1 full year of service.You will be placed at our Fair Lawn, NJ office, Please do not apply if you are not local or are not willing to relocate.Compensation for Cloud System Admin will range from $90,000 to $120,000 based on experience, if your experience falls outside required ranges compensation may be based on other open roles.Powered by JazzHR
