Swoon is actively seeking a PowerBI Developer to join the team! Things you should know! Job Title: PowerBI DevelperContract – 15 week contract ONLYLocation: Tempe, AZRemote Role – Must work in AZ timeHours – Monday – FridayRate - $35-$40 an hour depending on experienceWork Authorization – US Citizen, Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), or OPT/F1, Sponsorship, C2C or C2H are NOT available for this roleWhat your day-to-day will look like? Partner with business stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate them into scalable business intelligence and reporting solutionsDesign, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports (primarily using Microsoft Power BI) to support strategic and operational decision-makingExecute functional and technical testing of BI solutions, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with business requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve issues within reports and data pipelines, including debugging code and optimizing existing BI assetsExtract, transform, and deliver data using enterprise data tools while maintaining data integrity and accessibilityAnalyze datasets to identify anomalies, enforce business rules, and improve overall data quality, consistency, and reconciliation processesEstablish and maintain reporting standards, documentation, and governance practices while collaborating with data warehouse and technical teams to ensure system performance and securityWhat’s Required? / Technical Skills Strong proficiency in SQL development (complex queries, data manipulation, reporting) across environments including Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQLHands-on experience with business intelligence tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, for building dashboards, reports, and data visualizationsSolid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and tools such as SSIS and Azure Data FactoryAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data issues, identify anomalies, and improve data qualityExperience with testing methodologies, including developing test plans, test cases, and validating BI/reporting outputsStrong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical insights into clear, actionable information for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail, documentation standards, and data confidentiality4+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence DeveloperBachelor's Degree requiredWhat’s Next?Apply Now!
