Key ResponsibilitiesManage and optimize inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to meet production schedules and minimize holding costs. Develop, implement, and enforce robust inventory control policies and procedures across all manufacturing stages. Oversee and execute regular cycle counting programs and annual physical inventories to ensure high accuracy. Analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, and implement root cause corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with purchasing, production, and sales departments to ensure accurate forecasting and material availability. Implement and maintain inventory management systems (e.g., ERP modules) for efficient tracking, reporting, and analysis. Monitor inventory turns, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and develop strategies for reduction and disposition. Recommended QualificationsProven experience in inventory control within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and demand forecasting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize inventory levels. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with experience managing inventory teams. Bonus QualificationsLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Proficiency with advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL). APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. Experience with warehouse automation technologies or WMS/ERP system implementations.
